Its good that your are publicising this information! I run a site that helps people to claim their bank charges back, and have been faced with a huge number of questions the last week from people who think they are going to lose in court, and can no longer claim their charges back, and its caused a lot of panic and upset! The fact is that you still just have as much chance of getting your bank charges back as you did before, and this one case changes nothing. The banks still don''t want to risk losing in court, and so are settling before the hearing. interesting to note that the case was actually won by accident by Lloyds! They settled with everyone else the same day (so obviously didn''t expect to win!), it just happened they overlooked the claimant, so the case actually went to a hearing. It wasn''t a deliberate decision by the bank. My site has detailed guides to claiming your bank charges back yourself, for the last 6 years, along with template letters and spreadsheets. It also has the latest bank charge news and developments, and forums for one to one support. I`ve already helped a number of people to claim back thousands of pounds worth of charges from a range of banks and building societies! The site is completely free to use! http://www.claimbankchargesback.co.uk
